Welcome and updates
Thomas Kestler opened the meeting by welcoming all participants. He stressed the importance of maintaining an updated blog and members discussed the option to revive or recycle older posts to keep more people accessing the website.
Interviews
Eric presented strategies for conducting interviews and mentioned that he is working on a intreview post. Matheus Zago reported that he is finalizing the translation of an interview conducted with a professor from the University of São Paulo’s Economics Department.
Blog Information
Claudia presented statistics from our social media platforms, including 1162 members on platform X, 559 followers on LinkedIn, and 553 on Facebook. She noted that interactions have increased, thanks to the opportunities announced on the website by Marcia. Claudia also outlined upcoming activities for the next month, including a call for papers from BRaS-J, ABRE, Brazilian Studies at USP, and Platform 9. Additionally, Claudia mentioned that she is planning a special edition to be published in October focusing on Brazilian indigenous peoples and their rights.
Website Statistics and Updates
Matheus Zago reported website statistics, including user traffic and engagement. He also discussed recent changes made to the website, highlighting updates to the opportunities and newsletter blocks on the landing page.
