Minutes of the BRaS (Brazilian Research and Studies Center) Meeting – January 5th, 2024, 14:00 German Time

Agenda:

1. April Workshop (Thomas):

Thomas Kestler led the discussion on preparations for the workshop in collaboration with ABCP in April. It was announced that Vanessa Elias de Oliveira from ABCP would provide the final information needed for the creation of social media posts. Key organizational points were reviewed, including the schedule, possible topics, and event logistics.

2. Interview scheduled for January 24th (Hebling):

Matheus Hebling reported on the scheduled interview with a professor from USP (University of São Paulo) set for January 24th. Additionally, he addressed the articles slated for the blog post-holiday period and invited input from other members regarding the forthcoming blog content.

3. Website Traffic / Analytics Update (Matheus):

Matheus Zago provided an update on the current website traffic, mentioning that Analytics has been restored and is operational. He offered insights into recent site traffic and shared strategies to enhance the institution’s online visibility.

4. Possibility of scheduling interviews (Eric):

Eric Andrade raised the possibility of scheduling interviews with Bruno Speck and Bochler for potential collaborations or interviews. Members discussed the potential benefits of these interactions and agreed to explore this opportunity, developing an action plan to proceed with these contacts.

5. Exploring Website Growth

The group discussed plans to expand the website’s features and explored opportunities to collaborate with book and magazine publishers in Brazil.

 

With all agenda items addressed, the meeting adjourned at 14:50. The next BRaS session was scheduled for February 16th, 2024, at 14:00 German Time. The primary focus of the upcoming meeting will be to advance preparations for the workshop in partnership with ABCP.
